Code of Ethics

Effective date: September 22, 2026

This Code of Ethics describes the principles Temperature Master applies to its home-comfort, appliance, indoor-air-quality, and pool content. The detailed workflow behind these commitments appears in our Editorial Policy.

Accuracy Before Appearance

We aim to publish original explanations supported by manufacturer manuals, official support material, government guidance, recognized standards, and other authoritative sources. We do not change a date merely to make an article appear fresh, and we do not knowingly invent quotations, testing, experience, credentials, or sources.

Honest Authorship and Credentials

Articles should identify a real author and link to a profile that accurately describes the person’s role and background. We do not describe a writer as a licensed technician, engineer, electrician, or other professional unless that qualification has been verified. Editorial review is not presented as professional certification.

Safety and Scope

General website guidance cannot account for every model, installation, code requirement, or site condition. We separate low-risk observations from work involving energized components, gas, combustion, refrigerant, fire, pressure, or other hazards. We tell readers when to stop using equipment, consult the exact manual, contact a manufacturer, or use a qualified professional.

Commercial Independence

Temperature Master is supported by advertising and may earn commissions from affiliate links or service referrals. Those relationships must not determine safety advice or technical conclusions. Product comparisons should identify their selection criteria and distinguish documented research from hands-on testing.

Human Accountability and AI Assistance

AI-assisted tools may support research organization or editing, but they are not authoritative sources and do not replace human responsibility. A person remains accountable for the published wording, source checks, disclosures, and safety boundaries.

Corrections and Reader Feedback

When we confirm a material error, we correct it as promptly as practical. Significant safety, identity, testing, or commercial-disclosure errors may receive a correction note. Readers can report concerns through our contact form under the process described in our Complaint Policy.

Privacy, Copyright, and Respect

We respect intellectual-property rights, handle personal information under our Privacy Policy, and do not tolerate harassment, deceptive submissions, or unlawful use of the site. We welcome respectful, evidence-based disagreement and corrections.
